Our Community Foundation provides support and leadership for activities in Daviess County that improve and promote health outcomes; general and rehabilitative health services; mental health; crisis intervention; and associations or services associated with specific diseases, disorders, and medical
disciplines. The Foundation provided a grant to OneTime Hunt Club for a Wounded Warrior Turkey Hunt, an event that helped wounded veterans enjoy recreational activities in Daviess County. In addition, the Foundation worked with the Indiana Department of Health, Purdue University, Purdue Extension, and
Daviess Community Hospital to launch the I-HOPE initiative, a statewide project to meet the health needs of Daviess County, post COVID-19, by developing plans to address the new needs identified both through an intense study of health disparities and community interviews and listening sessions.
