Gretchen Miles

Gretchen was born and raised in Daviess County and has dedicated more than 20 years to a career in education. She serves on Our Community Foundation’s Board because she values the opportunity to work with a local organization committed to making Daviess County an even better place to live. The Foundation’s work also holds a special personal meaning for Gretchen. In 2022, the Lady Hatchet Basketball Boosters established a fund in memory of her parents, Tom and Phyllis Miles. The fund supports the Washington Community Schools Foundation through the Tom and Phyllis Miles Family/Lady Hatchets Basketball Scholarship, helping carry forward their legacy in the community. For Gretchen, one of the best things about calling Daviess County home is the strong sense of community and the way people come together to support one another.
