Our Community Foundation has announced the second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant recipients. A $250 grant was awarded to support Leave Your Mark in Kami Giesler’s classroom. Geisler’s class explored the creative writing world with author J. Wolf Scott. The goal was for the students to write their own stories worthy of publication. Ms. Scott will challenge the students to unplug from their technology and reengage with creative things that spark their imaginations. The Foundation conducted the competitive grant program during November and December, inviting Daviess County educators to apply for resources for the second semester of 2024-25 projects.
Our Community Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching methods in all area schools. We appreciate the generosity of our donors to our unrestricted funds, who made this grant possible.
