The Foundation awarded a $750 fast grant to Senior and Family Services for emergency roof repair. Jodi Rook, Co-director of the organization, says the grant came at just the right time. “Our kitchen started leaking during heavy rains this spring, and there was a need to repair the problem spots since our Congregate Meals and Meals on Wheels program serves 115 to 120 lunches out of the kitchen every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We want to keep it in good working order so there are no interruptions for those we serve.” Senior and Family Services (SAFS) was started in 1973 in Washington to provide programs, services, and activities to older adults and individuals with disabilities of any age.
