Our Community Foundation has announced the second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant recipients. A $250 grant was awarded for Discovery Time in Lori Flynn’s classroom. This project brings innovative, hands-on STEM experience into the kindergarten classroom. This grant will fund the purchase of lab coats, goggles, and science kits to make learning more interactive and allow them to immerse themselves in the role of young scientists. Students can conduct experiments safely using actual lab attire and equipment and feel more engaged in the scientific process. The Foundation conducted the competitive grant program during November and December, inviting Daviess County educators to apply for resources for the second semester of 2024-25 projects.
Our Community Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching methods in all area schools. We appreciate the generosity of our donors to our unrestricted funds, who made this grant possible
