Our Community Foundation has announced the second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant recipients. A $250 grant was awarded to support Foundations in Art: Inspiring Elementary Creativity in Fawn Mattingly’s classroom. The project aims to introduce elementary students to diverse artistic mediums, which are not typically available in a standard classroom setting. This innovative project allows students to explore textures, layering, and techniques beyond traditional school supplies, creating a more immersive art experience. The Foundation conducted the competitive grant program during November and December, inviting Daviess County educators to apply for resources for the second semester of 2024-25 projects.
Our Community Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching methods in all area schools. We appreciate the generosity of our donors to our unrestricted funds, who made this grant possible.
