Our Community Foundation has announced the second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant recipients. A $250 grant was awarded to support Tune-In Tech: Enhancing Music Education in Wacey Robertson’s classroom. This project brings an innovative, interactive dimension to the music experience by equipping the classroom with a TV for use as a smart board. This technology will allow the music teacher to display sheet music, instructional videos, digital compositions, and music tools in a visually engaging format. With access to interactive apps and multimedia, students can explore music theory, rhythm exercises, and composition dynamically and collaboratively. The Foundation conducted the competitive grant program during November and December, inviting Daviess County educators to apply for resources for the second semester of 2024-25 projects.
Our Community Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching methods in all area schools. We appreciate the generosity of our donors to our unrestricted funds, who made this grant possible.
