Our Community Foundation has announced the second-semester Teaching Innovator grant recipients. A $250 grant was awarded to support the expansion of Silent Disco in Morgan Dillon’s classroom. Silent Disco is an area in Dillon’s classroom that allows students to self-regulate throughout the day. This area uses silencing headphones, sunglasses, breathing tools, and timers to help students prevent feeling overwhelmed and address emotional needs proactively. The Foundation conducted the competitive grant program during November and December, inviting Daviess County educators to apply for resources for the second semester of 2024-25 projects.
Our Community Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching methods in all area schools. We appreciate the generosity of our donors to our unrestricted funds, who made this grant possible
